Course Description

This course offers an introduction to the central doctrines of the Christian faith using Tyron Inbody’s The Faith of the Christian Church. Students will explore the foundations of theology, revelation, God, creation, sin, Christology, salvation, the Church, sacraments, and eschatology. The course emphasizes critical reflection, theological analysis, and personal appropriation of Christian teaching.

Designed for independent study, the course provides guided readings, reflective assignments, and integrative assessments that encourage both academic engagement and spiritual growth.

Course Objectives

  1. Identify and explain the major doctrines of the Christian faith.
  2. Demonstrate understanding of the sources of theology: Scripture, tradition, reason, and experience.
