This undergraduate-level course, based on Bob Kauflin’s influential book “Worship Matters,” is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead worship that magnifies the greatness of God. The course explores the theological, practical, and relational aspects of worship leadership, emphasizing the importance of the worship leader’s heart, mind, and life. Students will engage with key concepts such as the role of the Trinity in worship, the careful selection and planning of worship music, and the balance of tradition and innovation.
Through a combination of readings, reflective essays, practical assignments, and academic articles, students will develop a comprehensive understanding of what it means to lead worship that is both theologically sound and practically effective.
